It was the middle of the summer, the night was burning hot, and I couldn’t fall asleep. My mind began to ramble, and anxiety overran my body. I wanted to sleep, I needed to sleep. I have a very vivid mind and most times that takes over, and my logical thinking is put aside. So naturally, I noticed that my room seemed to be filled with different shades of darkness, where some parts seem a lot darker than others. This made me wary and instead of falling asleep, I was more awaken than before laying down. In the middle of scouting my bedroom, I felt a sting in the back of my head, and I had to lay down. After that, my body was lighter, like I was levitating, then a strange force sent me down and glued me to the bed, suddenly, I couldn’t move. I was very sure that something was going to happen, so my eyes immediately turned to my bedroom door, and it sprung open, the moment I laid my eyes on it. A shadowy figure entered my room with a very fast pace and walked up to me. I felt the temperature of the room plummeting. I began sweating and the figure stood at the footing of my bed, just staring at me. I decided to stare back and its eyes wide open, glared back at me, and I felt like he was searching my soul for something. It took all I had to move, but eventually I did it. I moved one arm and then the other and immediately sat, but, before I could do anything, the figure pushed me back. - “I’m not here to hurt you!” he whispered. As my heartbeat began skyrocketing. — “What do you want?” I asked stuttering. He didn’t answer, just continue to glare. He just sat there, looking at me. — “Just tell me what you want!” I shouted at him. — “Your soul.” He whispered and immediately stood up. He walked up to me and kneeled beside me. — “I will see the world through your eyes.”. I started to panic and tried to move, but I couldn’t, it felt like a truck was on top of me. The figure laid its hand on top of my chest, and I felt goosebumps all over my body. — “Don’t resist. You’ll make it harder for yourself.” As he pressed his hand, I felt my heartbeat slowing down and my consciousness dropping with it. I thought I was going to die, so I just shut my eyes and suddenly, I felt like my soul was being transported somewhere. I woke up in my bedroom, my alarm immediately set off. I was sweating profusely. The daylight was trying to peek through my curtains, and I was too scared to even move my eyes. Eventually I did, and tried to have a normal day, but always with the episode in the back of my mind. At the end of the day, I was exhausted, a lot more than usual, so I went to the bathroom and washed my face. When I looked at the mirror, I noticed that my previously blue eyes had just turned pure black. I stared at my reflection for hours touching my face incredulous. I just had one question… What happened last night?
